New Digital Director joins Scottish Team

London, January 30, 2018– Chelsea Apps (CA), the leaders in Mobile and Digital enablement for the Enterprise, today announced the appointment of Martin Boyle as Digital Director, based in Edinburgh.

The appointment of Boyle in the Scottish office provides additional weight to CA’s presence in Scotland, coming hot on the heels of Richard M Marshall, PhD who was recruited to the role of General Manager for Scotland in December.

“We are delighted that Martin has joined CA. He brings a wealth of experience in retail banking, delivering innovative large scale digital initiatives within the enterprise space,” commented COO, Edel McGrath. “Martin is an experienced and inspirational leader, well versed in instigating and managing rapid and lasting innovative change for businesses and their customers. Scotland is a key geography for us as we scale the business, so this is an important hire to help our clients achieve their digital transformation objectives, and for us to realise our own growth goals.”

Boyle has spent his career to date with Tesco moving from graduate training scheme to leading one of the biggest digital initiatives for the company. He helped build a new General Insurance business which reflected Tesco’s customer and people focused values and delivered the programme to build and operate Tesco bank branches in store. Most recently Boyle was responsible for scaling Tesco’s award-winning mobile wallet app, Tesco Pay+ from proof of concept to over 100,000 users.

“I am very excited to be joining the team at Chelsea Apps, working with some great enterprises north of the border,” Boyle said. “The pressure to become a people-first business means that every company needs experts like CA to help and advise them. I am looking forward to being instrumental in CA success story in Scotland.”
